Visiting PhD - Since January 2024
Previous: MSc – University of Bari (Italy), HIPS-Helmholtz Institute Saarland (Germany); Postgrad. – University of Pavia (Italy).

Biography: I was born and grew up in Molfetta, Italy. I obtained my MSc in Medicinal Chemistry and Technologies at the University of Bari “Aldo Moro” (Italy) in 2019. I worked on my Master’s thesis at HIPS (Helmholtz-Institut für Pharmazeutische Forschung Saarland) in Saarbrucken (Germany) in the context of the Erasmus+ exchange program, hosted by Prof. Alexander Titz, working on the synthesis and development of novel divalent ligands for P. aeruginosa lectin LecA. In 2021 I obtained a Post-graduation Master in Drug Design and Development at the University of Pavia (Italy) in collaboration with Dipharma Francis S.r.l. in Milan, where I worked as a trainee researcher on biphasic flow processes. In the same year, I started my PhD studies at the University of Pavia (Italy) under the supervision of Prof. G. Zanoni, concerning the upcycle of Sm-Co magnets waste as catalyst in chemical transformations mediated by samarium and cobalt. I joined for my visiting period Prof. Procter’s group for better understanding SmI2 chemistry in innovative radical processes. Outside the lab, I am a karate 4th Dan black belt, I enjoy museums, puzzles, and cooking.
