Biography: I was born and raised in Napoli (Italy), where studied pharmaceutical chemistry at the “Universitá degli Studi di Napoli – Federico II”. I carried out my masters thesis at the National Research Council (CNR) in Pozzuoli (Napoli) under the co-supervision of Prof. Mara Valeria D’Auria and Dr. Adele Cutignano. I got my Master’s degree in 2013, then moved to the “Università di Bologna – Alma Mater Studiorum” for an internship in organocatalysis, under the supervision of Prof. Marco Bandini. In the same year, I joined the group of Prof. Clément Mazet, at the Université de Genève (CH), where I got my PhD working on the development of remote functionalization strategies based on transition metal-catalyzed olefin isomerization. In 2019, I was awarded with the Marie Skłodowska-Curie fellowship and joined the group of Prof. Ruben Martin at ICIQ (Spain). My research focused on nickel and metallaphotoredox catalysis for the activation and refunctionalization of strong sigma C-X bonds. In the 2022, I first joined the group of Prof. David Procter, at the University of Manchester (UK), as a post-doctoral researcher, and in 2023 became a Lecturer within the group. Besides chemistry, I love art and enjoy playing basketball, volleyball, and climbing. Last but not the least, I like food and cooking.
