Biography: I was born in Bury, Greater Manchester but grew up in Gloucestershire. I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Bristol; working on redox gold catalysis under the supervision of Dr Chris Russell for my final year MSci project. I then joined the group of Dr Liam Ball at the University of Nottingham, where I completed a PhD developing new skeletal editing methodologies focusing on aromatic heterocycles. After my PhD, I undertook a short-term PDRA in the same group working on new skeletal editing methods and bismuth-mediated transformations. I joined the Procter group in November 2023 as a post-doctoral researcher working on sulfonium salt photochemistry. Outside of chemistry, I enjoy bouldering, finding new music, and playing the guitar.
