Biography: Andrew grew up in Bedfordshire (UK) and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Bath. During this time, he spent a year on an industrial placement at GlaxoSmithKline, and conducted his Master’s research under the supervision of Professor Jon Williams. Subsequently, he relocated to the University of Nottingham to undertake his PhD studies with Prof. John Moses, which involved the development of a technique for protein footprinting.
In 2017, Andrew relocated along with the rest of the Moses group to La Trobe University in Melbourne, to investigate SuFEx click chemistry as a postdoctoral researcher. In 2020, he took a short-term position with Dr. Tatiana Soares da Costa, working on the synthesis of herbicidal candidates. In 2021, Andrew was appointed as a PDRA within the group of Prof. David Procter at the University of Manchester. In his spare time, Andrew enjoys playing football, bouldering and baking.
