Biography: I was born and raised in West Bengal, India. After completing my B.Sc. from Krishnagar Government College in 2011, I joined the University of Kalyani for my M.Sc. In my second year, I worked on the synthesis of L-valine-derived benzimidazole chemosensor for the recognition of Al3+ ion. In 2016, I joined the research group of Prof. Beeraiah Baire for my doctoral studies, which focused on developing cascade annulation strategies by harnessing unique acid-promoted reactivities of propargylic alcohols and their application in the total synthesis of bioactive natural products and their derivatives. After my Ph.D. in 2023, I joined the Procter group in June 2024 as a post-doctoral researcher working on samarium diiodide catalysis. In my spare time, I enjoy playing football, painting and cooking.
